How we write our guides
Every guide on this site is researched from primary sources: the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, the NDIS, the NDIS rules and state and territory governments. We link to the sources on each page, show the date it was last checked, and correct mistakes quickly when someone tells us.
The sources we use
- The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission, including its rules, policy guidance and position statements on behaviour support
- The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA), including Our Guidelines and the NDIS Pricing Arrangements
- The NDIS (Restrictive Practices and Behaviour Support) Rules 2018 and other legislation on the Federal Register of Legislation
- State and territory government pages and legislation, for restrictive practice authorisation
We don't rely on other providers' blogs or forum posts for facts. If we can't confirm something in a primary source, we leave it out.
How we keep guides up to date
NDIS rules, funding categories and prices change. Each page shows when it was last checked against its sources. We check pages again when the NDIS Commission or the NDIA publishes new guidance, and when NDIS prices change each financial year.
Our independence
Providers pay us for introductions. They don't write our guides, pay to be mentioned in them, or see them before they're published. Our guides are general information, not clinical advice. For advice about a person's support, talk to their behaviour support practitioner.
Found a mistake?
Please tell us. Email hello@positivebehavioursupport.au with the page and what needs fixing. We'll check it against the source and update the page. You can also read about us and how the service works.
