Positive BehaviourSupport

How it works

positivebehavioursupport.au connects you with a registered NDIS behaviour support practitioner who has space for new clients. You answer a few questions, we pass your details to a suitable provider near you, and they contact you. It's free for you, and you're never locked in.

  1. You tell us what's going on

Who the support is for, the postcode, what you need help with, how the NDIS plan works and how soon you need someone. Then how to contact you.

  2. We find a provider with space

We pass your details to one registered behaviour support provider near you who covers your area and is taking new clients.

  3. A practitioner contacts you

They call or email to talk through what's needed, how it's funded and when they can start. Nothing is agreed until you're happy.

What happens to your details

We only pass your details to a registered behaviour support provider who might be able to help. It goes to one provider at a time. If they can't help, we pass it to another provider near you, up to 3 in total, so you're not left waiting.

We ask for your consent before any of this happens, because details about disability and support needs are sensitive. You can change your mind at any time by emailing hello@positivebehavioursupport.au. The full detail is in our privacy policy.

How the service is free

Providers pay us when we introduce them to someone who needs behaviour support. That's how we keep the service free for participants, families and support coordinators.

It doesn't change what you pay. Providers set their own prices within the NDIS maximum prices, and they can't charge you more because they found you through us. We only work with providers who meet our standards.

What we are, and what we're not

We're an independent matching service. We don't deliver behaviour support, write plans or give clinical advice, and we're not part of the NDIA or the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. The practitioner you're connected with is responsible for the support they provide.

Common questions

How long does it take?

The questions take about two minutes. How soon a practitioner contacts you depends on the provider, and we only pass your details to providers who are taking new clients.

Can I choose my own practitioner?

Yes. You're never locked in. If the practitioner we connect you with isn't the right fit, tell them or tell us, and we'll look for someone else. Under the NDIS you can choose and change your providers.

Will I be called by lots of providers?

No. Your details go to one provider at a time. We only pass them to another provider if the first one can't help.

Can I ask you to delete my details?

Yes. Email us and we'll stop passing your details on and delete them, unless we have to keep something by law. See our privacy policy for how this works.
